Hope’s Happy Hounds are looking for like-minded people to join our team of expert pet carers and dog walkers. You will be caring for dogs, cats and little pets (hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish etc) in the course of your work with us.

You must have a full UK Driving License and be available Monday to Friday during the daytime. You must be an animal lover who enjoys the outdoors and willing to walk dogs in all weathers.

we’re looking for enthusiastic pet lovers who love the idea of getting out and about walking dogs, with the support of an incredible team who care about your long-term progression to help us with the ever-growing demand for our services!

Working Pattern

Permanent Candidates
Candidates for permanent positions must be available flexibly from Monday to Friday, between 9/10 AM and 2/3 PM. This is a variable hour contract offering part-time hours ranging from 5 to 20 hours per week. We especially encourage applications from individuals who may find it challenging to commit to a traditional 9-to-5 schedule due to family obligations. Shifts will be assigned based on a weekly rota.

Bank/Cover Staff
Bank or cover staff will be scheduled as needed to fill in for staff sickness and annual leave.

Requirements:

A love for animals
Like the outdoors and walking
Full UK Drivers Licence
Own vehicle essential to transport dogs
Must have or be willing to take DBS Check
Experience with pets preferred but not required
Available between 9am-3pm Monday-Friday

About You

Team members will receive shadowing, so prior professional pet care experience is not necessary. However, if you are interested in this role, you must feel confident handling dogs and being out on the road. A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (with appropriate insurance) are required – mileage and travel time will be compensated in addition to the hourly wage.

You should possess a “can-do” attitude and be comfortable discussing your work, as you will be interacting with the public and representing our brand.

It is essential to have your own car and a clean driving license, as well as the ability to safely transport dogs in your vehicle (safety equipment will be provided to secure the dogs during travel).

Applicants must be fit and capable of walking between 2 to 6 hours a day in all weather conditions!
